April Rains was raised on the move around the southern United States before graduating with a literature degree from the University of Texas where she focused on literature and anthropology of the African diaspora. She lives in the Netherlands where she’s stumbling along cobblestones and Dutch diphthongs, writing shorts of psychedelic sci-fi and historical fiction, researching the dynamics of African, American, and Dutch historical perspectives, and working on her debut novel. Her work has appeared in Ink & Voices.
